What is the point of my life? This tends to be the most asked question among those who suffer from depression and substance abuse. "Life in Oblivion" generally refers to a state of being completely unaware, unconscious, or disconnected from reality. It can also imply a life lived without purpose or meaning, where someone feels trapped or lost in a world that lacks significance or fulfillment. So we turn to things that we think will fulfill us… substance abuse, behavioral addictions, screen time abuse, and self-abuse.
The truth is this ends up leaving us feeling even more empty and alone in the end, and we are left still seeking… There is nothing inside of them that truly gives us joy and happiness. We keep searching…. We isolate, we abuse, and we self-medicate. We end up completely unaware of why and where we lost our life.
We are not meant to live a life in oblivion. We are meant to search and find who we are and what brings us joy! We are meant to overcome our addictions and live a truly fulfilled and gratifying life. Don’t get trapped in Oblivion, there is nothing there for you. Find yourself… Discover it inside rather than seeking externally, where you will never find it.
